No Computer!

My sister moved to Vegas a couple days after I came back from the cruise :(. She was about to move out in June but I told her to take care of the cats (cats come first).  I'm going to miss her dearly! And she took the computer x_x.  Haha, I've been saving up for a new computer, and all the parts should be coming in tomorrow! (I HOPE!) The case already came in!

Since I need a computer to upload my cruise pics..I present the food pics I took with my phone! Before and after cruise meals :)

Chicken and Rice from Delhi Garden in Edison, NJ.  I asked Chris to get me their lunch special Friday afternoon. We wanted to eat something ethnic before the cruise lol.

After a week's worth of American cuisine we were craving pho!
Pho Anh Dao in Edison, NJ has to be my favorite Vietnamese restaurant.

Avocado shake!!! This is my favorite shake in the whole world!

We slept for hours after coming back from lunch and shopping at Hmart.  Chris drove me back to my house around 9PM? My sister lied about having food in the fridge..so we ate at some 24/7 Korean restaurant.

Chris always orders Yuk ae jang.

I got beef bone marrow soup! It's actually pretty good. This is before I added a shit ton of salt and spices.

On Sunday, we wanted to eat at Little Charm Thai Kitchen in Fort Lee but there was a gas pipe problem and the kitchen was closed :(  So we ate at the BCD tofu house down the street. I love Fort Lee! There are so many different restaurants in a small town!
Love their banchan! Service here is always great, because they refill your water all the time and ask if you want more kimchi.
I always get curry soondubu :)
Chris ordered the mixed sea food and beef soondubu.
Korean shaved ice!!

Next week is Otakon in Baltimore, MD.  I'm so behind in making my costumes but I'm not doing anything extravagant so I think I have plenty of time.

Off to the Bahamas!

I'm at Chris's house watching his whole family get ready for the cruise.  I'm so anal that I usually pack days in advance, because I do not want to forget anything.  ...I did forget my eyebrow pencil! Haha, that isn't such a big deal.  I finally got my eyebrows threaded after months of them growing like weeds.  I have long eyebrow hair which I hate!! Chris says they get spiky :(.

Anyway, we are taking a van to the city tomorrow.  His family was super late last time and almost missed their flight/cruise so we're leaving at 11 AM.  The ship departs at 4 PM. -.- AND tomorrow is going to be 100 degrees! IN THE CITY! I wish we were going on an Alaskan cruise instead haha.

Here is Timmy in his shaved glory.  His skin feels like velvet. :)

Here is Pazuzu trying to stop me from packing
Folding my clothes isn't as space efficient as rolling them up.
I don't even remember what I packed. I hope I have enough clothes to last me for a week.
J.Crew hat, polaroid camera, digital camera, bikinis, and a cute beach bag
The red bag is all toiletries and the Little Twin Stars bag is my make up bag.
I packed Chris's clothes in 15 minutes while he fooling around ...ugh I'm such a nice girl friend hehe.

I'll post next time with hundreds of pictures of food and the beach!

Carbicide

I had the fourth and fifth off and spent the time packing and eating.

Haagen Dazs strawberry sundae.  It was nothing special.  There's balsamic vinegar in the syrup Yeah, I wasn't feeling it.

My mom's bf dropped off pho for us on the fourth.  I haven't had pho in a while so it tasted extra good!

On the fifth, my sister and I wen to Sushi Cruise for lunch.  We ordered off from the conveyor belt instead of getting their lunch special which I realized is a total rip off -.-

Each plate was 1.75 for four pieces

Shrimp tempura with spicy crab on top
Shrimp tempura with sea weed on top
fried banana on top with salmon and avocado (it was good!)
Spicy crab roll
Mexican roll (spicy salmon with tempura flakes)

More Food Pics

My sister and I ate lunch at Mavi Meze Girll. I came here before with my supervisors and boss for a birthday and noticed that they have lunch specials.  Soup or salad, entree, and a drink for 10 dollars!

I don't know the name of the salad.  The dressing was a bit bitter for me.  It was still good..healthy and satisfying. I couldn't finish all of it.

My sister ordered a chicken kabob platter, and I ordered a chicken meatball platter.  The chicken meat balls were juicy and tender.

I love grilled tomatoes!
Red Mango opening up near my work! It's right next to Harmon! AHH.  I'm gonna be so poor! Maybe I should work here part time..make extra money AND get free frozen yogurt!
I cooked masaman curry from the can.  I used this brand which you can find at any local Asian market.  I used one small can, three chicken breasts, string beans, one can of coconut milk, and half an onion.  The curry came out so good! I wanted to add potatoes but I'm still on the carb diet haha.  I only had two scoops of rice!
Chris and I used to make curry from scratch but using the cans has cut making curry to like minutes instead of a good hour. So if you want restaurant like curry I recommend this brand!

Pets

My coworker had a party to go to in PA and didn't want to leave Buddha alone so I decided to watch him for the weekend :)

This is a note that my supervisor left on our door

The secretary brought her French bull dog named Marley to keep Buddha company!
          Vs
So, my cats were not exactly happy when I brought Buddha home.  Buddha loves cats but cats don't love him :(.  He lunged at Timmy wanting to play and got his ass kicked for it! He learned his lesson and calmed down.
Oh we shaved Timmy because he's one furry cat AND he does not like to be brushed at all. Ugh. He was so angry at my sister and me.

Here is Pazuzu and Buddha getting along :).  He managed to slobber all over Pazuzu's head! My cats learned to like Buddha after just one day. Who can't love that face?
On Saturday, my sister and I visited my sister's friend.  She has two dogs, Winky, the Boston Terrier, and a shi tzu, hangbok.  I have never seen Buddha so crazy before.  He ran inside and headed straight for the toy box LOL.  He was that annoying child hood friend who played with all of your toys and ate your food.  The other dogs were not pleased. No one likes Buddha :'(
He loved my sister's friend and sat on her lap for hours.
He looks like a skeleton.
Hangbok looks like the predator.
All three dogs in the kitchen
Buddha and Pazuzu watching each other.

I had a great weekend with Buddha.  It was a hassle walking him in the hot weather, but it wasn't so bad.  I needed to walk haha. Watching him made me realize that I'm a total cat person.  I feel bad for dogs that have to hold in their pee and poo for hours because the owners are at work.

Fri-Sun

Here is my supervisors' dog, Buddha! He's a smelly farty french bull dog who likes to bark at everything. I'm not sure if he's cute or creepy looking. I think he looks like an old man.  Anyway, they're in France right now (one is in Ukraine to watch the Eurocup games) and my coworker is watching Buddha. He'll be at work with us for the next two weeks! And I'll be watching him for a day sometime next week.  I hope he doesn't piss my cats off or else they'd beat him up lol.

Chilling
He's in playful mood
Getting closer
He dropped his birthday cake in front of me lol

Chris and I got take out from Delhi Garden in Edison because I was craving Indian food. He ordered the NY style chicken and rice entree and I ordered chicken tikka masala, mango lassi, and vegetarian samosas.

Chicken and rice was better than expected! The chicken was marinated in Indian spices and was super tender and juicy.   I think the white sauce and hot sauce were comparable.  Chris thinks it needed more lettuce and tomatoes and the hot sauce was just OK.  But he said he'd order it again.

The chicken tikka masala was creamy and flavorful.  The chicken was not as juicy as the chicken and rice but it's served in sauce so it wasn't too dry.
The mango lassi was great. I drank too much and filled me up right away.
The samosas were delicious.  I only ate the insides lol...I didn't want to eat too much carbs.

We actually came here around 2 years ago.. We were noobs and ordered the wrong things.  I ordered some weird eggplant thing which was OK not great.  Glad I ordered the generic Indian entrees this time around.

Chris made shaved ice for me :)
I didn't do such a good job making it look presentable. Chris bought strawberries, mangoes, mandarian oranges, lychee, red beans, and condensed milk.  The machine was mechanical so Chris did all the dirty work :P

The cruise is in two weeks!

Korean Food

My mom and I usually get Koreanized Chinese food which is basically sweetened and spicy Chinese food when we go out to eat.  My favorite is jja jang myun or black bean noodles.  The banchan (side dishes) these restaurants serve are usually  radish kimchi (kkakdugi), raw onions that you dip in the black sauce, and pickled radish (danmuju).

We always go to Son Ja Jang in Pal Park because they hand make the noodles! The noodles are just right, not too soggy or hard.  Also, they offer half and half.  I get the tang soo yook (sweet and sour beef) and jja jang combo which is around 10 dollars.  The tang soo yook dish alone is around 20 dollars so the combo is a good deal.
